On the promontory above the Jizera river there stood a castle called Michalovice. It was probably built in the second half of the 13th century, but it was left to decay already in the 15th century. In the 19th century the ruin was even more destroyed by treasure hunters and today only the castle tower called Putna remains. It is open as an observation tower.
